Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh Hosts Dialogue with Japanese Businesses to Enhance Bilateral Cooperation and Investment

On August 12, 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a dialogue with Japanese businesses for the second time this year, aiming to boost cooperation and investment between the two countries. The event was attended by Japanese Ambassador Ito Naoki, ministers, local leaders, and prominent companies from both nations.

During the dialogue, the two sides reviewed and assessed the status of cooperation, investment, and trade, addressing challenges in various projects. They also discussed future cooperation and investment orientations between Vietnam and Japan.

The Japanese side requested the Prime Minister’s continued support in resolving difficulties and bottlenecks in projects such as the Ben Luc-Long Thanh Expressway, the Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien metro line, the Cho Ray-Japan Friendship Hospital, the Vietnam-Japan University, and the promotion of hybrid vehicles. Japan also proposed new projects in the fields of semiconductors, green transition, and disaster prevention.

In the afternoon of the same day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Mr. Cristiano Amon, Chairman and CEO of Qualcomm Incorporated (USA), during the company’s delegation visit to Vietnam.
