Food Safety Inspection in Cau Giay District, Hanoi
On the morning of May 8, the Cau Giay District inter-branch food safety inspection team in Hanoi conducted a surprise inspection of “Long Chat Quan” at 18 Tran Thai Tong, Dich Vong Hau Ward, following the incident of showcasing a 40-meter-long pig offal platter.

During the meeting, the inspection team spoke with Mr. Ngo Quyen The, the owner of “Long Chat Quan” (known on social media as TikToker “The Long Se Dieu”), and his staff. Mr. The initially stated that his restaurant specializes in offal dishes, not limited to the pig offal platter.
Regarding the 40-meter-long offal platter, Mr. The explained that the image was posted on social media in 2024. He also apologized to consumers for the information and image he posted, admitting that the length was “a bit exaggerated” and that the actual length of the offal was only 25-27 meters.
Mr. The further informed the inspection team that the offal was sourced from a female pig weighing over 200 kg, purchased from a trader in Dinh Cong Ward, Hoang Mai District, Hanoi. However, upon inspection, Mr. The could not present the documents proving the origin of the offal bought a year ago.

The inspection team left at noon on May 8
At present, the restaurant could only present a contract for food imports from an individual in Thuong Tin District, Hanoi. The establishment has not yet submitted the documents of the slaughterhouse facility that supplied the food to the individual in Thuong Tin.
Accordingly, the inspection team requested that “Long Chat Quan” provide complete documentation on the qualifications of the offal supplier according to regulations before 4 pm on May 9, to the People’s Committee of Cau Giay District.
Previously, social media was stirred by a video showcasing a 40-meter-long pig offal platter shared by the TikToker account “The Long Se Dieu.” The video featured a man named T., who had just received the “super-giant” offal platter, measuring 40 meters in length. After “cutting the head and tail,” the offal still weighed 5.8 kg and was not connected.

However, many comments expressed skepticism about the origin and quality of the food and believed that it was just a “gimmick to attract customers.”
In an interview with NLD (Lao Dong Newspaper), Mr. N.T., manager of a centralized slaughterhouse in Thanh Tri, Hanoi, stated that there is no offal that is 40 meters long. In reality, offal, if long, would only exceed 10 meters at most.
Regarding the pig offal, Mr. T. questioned the availability of pig offal in the market. At his facility, they slaughter thousands of pigs daily but rarely come across pig offal. “Pig offal is not available every day, and it’s rare to have it even after several weeks,” Mr. T. said.
