Marking a significant step forward in advancing the nation’s high-tech agriculture, on May 10, 2025, TTC AgriS (Thanh Thanh Cong – Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company, AgriS, HOSE: SBT) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAE) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for comprehensive cooperation. The event was held in Bac Ninh Province and witnessed by senior government leaders, including Mr. Do Duc Duy – Minister of MAE, Mr. Phung Duc Tien – Vice Minister of MAE, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan – Chairman of Bac Ninh People’s Committee, along with leaders from various sectors. This event highlighted the government’s commitment to mobilizing all resources, especially from the dynamic private sector, to realize the goals of sustainable, modern, and internationally integrated agriculture.

TTC AgriS: From Pioneer to Leader in Actualizing Digital Agriculture Transformation

According to the MoU, the MAE and AgriS will cooperate in the following areas: (1) Promote the development of circular agriculture models applying advanced technology towards the net-zero emissions target by 2035, in line with the practical capabilities of enterprises and the industry’s transition, contributing to Vietnam’s commitment at COP26; (2) Develop agricultural value chains and connect with international markets to enhance the competitiveness, added value, and sustainability of Vietnam’s agriculture sector; (3) Build, integrate, and efficiently exploit digital databases in agriculture and the environment, contributing to data connectivity between management agencies and businesses; (4) Train and improve the capabilities of entities within the agricultural value chain, promote digital transformation, innovation, and the development of circular and sustainable agriculture.

Speaking at the conference, MAE Minister Mr. Do Duc Duy mentioned that the ministry has issued a specific implementation plan in Decision No. 503/QD-BNNMT to improve productivity, quality, and product value while protecting the environment, with science, technology, and digital transformation as the foundation. He also proposed five breakthrough solutions: (1) Improve institutions, policies, and administrative procedures to remove barriers, (2) Focus on areas of science and technology with high potential, (3) Reorganize the system of public science and technology organizations towards a lean, efficient, competitive, and knowledge-disseminating orientation, (4) Develop high-quality human resources in science, technology, and digital transformation, closely linking training, research, and practical application, and (5) Promote comprehensive digital transformation.

At this important event, Ms. Dang Huynh Uc My, Chairwoman of AgriS, conveyed a strong message about the company’s mission and commitment: “The signing of this MoU with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is a significant milestone, affirming AgriS’ companionship and commitment to implementing Resolution 57 and realizing the goals of sustainable agriculture development, especially the net-zero emissions target by 2035. Strong Internal Resources and Creative Thinking: Foundation for AgriS’ Leading Role

In his presentation on “Application of Science, Technology, and Digital Transformation in Building a Sustainable and Smart Agriculture Model – Proposed Public-Private Cooperation Mechanisms to Elevate Vietnamese Agriculture in the Global Value Chain,” AgriS CEO Mr. Thai Van Chuyen shared the company’s internal strengths and action plan in line with Resolution 57-NQ/TW. He emphasized continued strong investment in research, technology transfer, development of model farms, human resource training, and building a digital ecosystem – from raw material areas to the dining table. This will be focused on key production regions of the sugar and coconut industries – two sectors where Vietnam has advantages and significant potential for value addition.
