The People’s Committee of Binh Duong province has recently handed over land to Becamex IDC (HoSE: BCM) to develop two new industrial parks, which are expected to commence construction this month.
According to Decision 1296/QD-UBND issued by the People’s Committee of Binh Duong province on May 14, Becamex IDC has been leased land (second phase) by the state, collecting a one-time payment for the entire lease term for the expanded Bau Bang Industrial Park project.
The leased area for Becamex IDC measures 369.3 hectares, located in Lai Uyen town and Cay Truong II commune, Bau Bang district. The land use term is until May 3, 2069.
Since May 2019, Becamex IDC has been leasing land in the first phase of this project, covering an area of 620.9 hectares. The lease term is also until 2069.
Also, on May 14, the People’s Committee of Binh Duong province issued Decision 1297/QD-UBND, allowing Becamex-IDC to lease land for the Cay Truong Industrial Park project.
As per the decision, Becamex-IDC has been leased 693.6 hectares of land for the project, situated in Lai Uyen town, Cay Truong 2 commune, Bau Bang district. The land use term is until September 30, 2056.
The expanded Bau Bang Industrial Park is located in Lai Uyen town, Cay Truong II commune of Bau Bang district, and Long Tan commune of Dau Tieng district, spanning an area of 1,000 hectares (including approximately 892.20 hectares in Bau Bang district and 107.78 hectares in Dau Tieng district). The projected total investment for the park is VND 3,500 billion.
The Cay Truong Industrial Park is situated in Lai Uyen town and Cay Truong II commune, Bau Bang district, Binh Duong province. The project is developed by the Industrial and Urban Development Corporation (Becamex IDC) with a total investment of over VND 5,459 billion. The industrial park is designed as an eco-industrial park, prioritizing the attraction of high-tech and environmentally friendly industries.
Earlier in May, the People’s Committee of Binh Duong province announced that the Cay Truong Industrial Park and the expanded Bau Bang Industrial Park would be inaugurated on the occasion of the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025).
According to Becamex-IDC’s consolidated financial statements for the first quarter of 2025, the company recorded an after-tax profit of VND 365.6 billion, triple the figure from the same period last year. Becamex-IDC attributed this increase to a VND 1,031 billion rise in revenue from sales of goods and services, resulting in a VND 130 billion surge in gross profit. Additionally, profit from joint ventures and associates increased by VND 211 billion compared to the previous year.

Over the past 50 years, Becamex has transformed from a district-level enterprise into a leading industrial and urban development corporation in Vietnam, with notable projects such as the new city of Binh Duong, the provincial administrative center, and numerous VSIP-branded industrial parks.
Unlocking the Potential: Overcoming Challenges for Industrial Solar Roof Development
The adoption of green energy in industrial parks is lagging, with businesses showing a lukewarm response to investing in and installing rooftop solar panels. The perceived lack of attractive investment opportunities in this model has hindered the much-needed energy transition, falling short of expectations.
“Building an Infrastructure Tailored to the Development Needs of Innovative Enterprises and the Private Sector.”
The new regulation allowing for a minimum 30% reduction in land lease costs for the first five years is a step in the right direction. This cost reduction is essential, according to National Assembly delegates, but it’s not enough. What’s more crucial is creating infrastructure that caters to the unique needs of innovative enterprises.
The Saigon River Skyway on Ring Road 3 Before the Final Joint
The Binh Goi Bridge, an impressive infrastructure project, is set to be a pivotal connection between Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City. With an anticipated completion date of late May 2025, the bridge will be a key component of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project. Spanning the Saigon River, this bridge will facilitate smoother travel and enhance connectivity between these two important regions.
