“Vietnam’s Banking Sector: LPBank and ACB Lead in Cash Dividend Payouts”

According to disclosed information, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Lucky Development (LPBank – Code: LPB) will finalize its shareholder list on May 20, 2025, to pay cash dividends at a rate of 25% (one share receives VND 2,500). The ex-dividend date is May 19, 2025.
Therefore, to be eligible to receive cash dividends, investors must purchase LPB shares before May 19.
With an expected dividend payout of over VND 7,468 billion, LPBank is the highest cash dividend-paying bank in the Vietnamese banking system in 2025, considering both payout ratio and payout scale. Dividends will be paid on May 28.
Following LPBank, Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ACB – Code: ACB) will finalize its shareholder list on May 26, 2025, to pay dividends in cash and shares. The ex-dividend date is May 23, 2025.
Accordingly, ACB shareholders will receive cash dividends at a rate of 10% (one share receives VND 1,000). The amount ACB expects to distribute as dividends is VND 4,467 billion. Dividends will be paid on June 5, 2025.
Regarding the share dividend component, ACB plans to pay at a rate of 15% (for every 100 shares held, an investor will receive 15 new shares). The timing of the share dividend payment has not been announced.
Thus far, nine banks have planned to pay cash dividends in 2025, including TPBank, VIB, ACB, VPBank, Techcombank, LPBank, SHB, OCB, and MB. Among them, TPBank, VIB, and VPBank have finalized their shareholder lists.
