The People’s Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province recently met with Sun Group regarding the company’s proposal to invest in a series of large-scale projects in the province.
Specifically, in addition to the 3/2 Road Urban Area in Vung Tau city, which was recently inaugurated, Sun Group has also proposed the following projects: Nghinh Phong Cape Commercial Service Complex; Ben Dinh Islet Urban Area; Gò Găng Island new urban area combined with tourism services; Eco-tourism area in the North of Phuoc Thang; Southwest Ba Ria Urban Area, and projects on Con Dao island.

The 3/2 Road Urban Area in Vung Tau city, inaugurated on May 16 by Sun Group
These are prime locations in Vung Tau city, including land plots that the province is in the process of auctioning and calling for investment.
Regarding the Nghinh Phong Cape land plot (Ward 2, Vung Tau city), which is located in the heart of the coastal tourist area, Sun Group proposed to develop a first-class commercial and service complex with an area of 30 hectares. The project would connect with surrounding areas to create a comprehensive urban space, as it is surrounded by the sea on three sides, facing the famous Hon Ba shrine, and backed by Small Mountain with the renowned Christ the King statue.
For the Ben Dinh Islet project (Ward 5, Vung Tau city), with an area of 110 hectares, Sun Group suggested constructing a modern and dynamic islet urban area with a mix of commercial, service, tourism, and high-end residential functions.
The Gò Găng Island new urban area, covering approximately 1,400 hectares, is envisioned as an eco-urban and high-end service area associated with the Gò Găng airport. The project integrates modern functions such as a financial center, high-tech park, maritime and aviation services, and a clean-tech fisheries logistics center.
Additionally, in Vung Tau city, the company has proposed the Eco-tourism area in the North of Phuoc Thang with an area of 420 hectares. This project aims to preserve the native ecosystem while providing eco-tourism and outdoor recreational activities centered around the mangrove forest theme.

The company also suggested adjusting the land use plan to ensure alignment with the projects’ progress and development strategy.
The provincial leaders assured their support in hastening investment procedures and committed to handling the processes efficiently and lawfully. Additionally, the province and Sun Group will sign a strategic cooperation agreement to establish a comprehensive and well-organized tourism, resort, and service ecosystem with national and international stature.
