BYD and Grab Join Forces
Grab Vietnam has launched an exclusive program for driver-partners who have purchased BYD electric vehicles through the company’s collaborative distribution channel. The program offers drivers access to six BYD models, with prices ranging from 659 million VND to 1.359 billion VND. Drivers will benefit from discounted vehicle prices and preferential loans to become Grab partners.
This initiative aims to attract new drivers, retain existing ones, and boost BYD’s sales performance in the Vietnamese market. As per the announcement, drivers can earn a guaranteed income of up to 25 million VND per 30-day period by meeting the program’s requirements.
The first period starts from the driver’s registration completion, with a weekly cutoff every Friday to determine the start of the new period on the following Saturday. Each period lasts for 30 days, and drivers can participate in up to 12 periods.
Drivers who do not meet the conditions in a given period will not receive the guaranteed income but can continue to participate in subsequent periods. If the requirements are met, the guaranteed income will be transferred to the Grab app wallet after the period ends, minus any incurred charges.

The maximum guaranteed income of 25 million VND per period is contingent on the driver’s performance. To earn a guaranteed income of 20 million VND, drivers must complete a minimum of 260 trips per period, and to attain the highest amount of 25 million VND, they need to fulfill at least 400 trips.
Additionally, the program stipulates specific conditions to validate each trip. A trip is considered valid if it has a pickup location within the applicable area, is completed within the specified time frame, and follows the established procedures. Trips using the “Favorite Destinations” feature will not be counted. For instance, if a user has set their home and workplace as favorite destinations, trips to and from these locations will not contribute to the driver’s trip count for the period.
Grab also clarifies that the guaranteed income will not be paid in cases of policy violations, fraudulent activities, or permanent account suspensions during the period. Furthermore, drivers are not permitted to change their registered vehicles throughout their participation in the program.
Apart from these conditions, drivers must also meet the minimum trip requirements and maintain service quality standards, including cancellation rates, completion rates, and customer ratings. Depending on their performance level, drivers will be eligible for corresponding guaranteed income amounts, which may be lower than the maximum if they haven’t met the highest-level conditions.
