Ms. Nguyen Duc Thach Diem – Sacombank‘s CEO.

In her letter, Ms. Diem shared: ” How could I possibly encapsulate all the emotions and memories of almost eight years – a challenging yet beautiful journey – in one farewell?

“I have lived, dared, and wholeheartedly dedicated myself to this journey of restructuring, recovery, and Sacombank’s powerful resurgence. Nearly eight years is not too long compared to a lifetime, but it’s enough for me to cherish every trusting glance, every warm handshake, every sincere conversation, and every restless night spent ensuring the bank’s sustainable development.

I understand that all journeys have an endpoint and that all encounters eventually lead to partings. Over the years, the Board of Directors has entrusted me with the responsibility of fostering a strong, united, and passionate team of Sacombank warriors.

Today, I bid farewell to my role as CEO – the direct helmsman of our operational ship – to wholeheartedly join the Board of Directors in charting a new course for Sacombank: Safety, Efficiency, and Sustainability in the post-restructuring era.

From now on, I will no longer sit beside you during tense meetings, workshops, or hearty gatherings, nor will I directly solve problems with the frontline teams. But I will always watch over and accompany you, carrying the most beautiful memories of the past eight years – an indispensable part of Sacombank‘s 33-year journey.

Unity, harmony, and unwavering faith in moving forward are what I wish for you to uphold. Remember, brilliance doesn’t come from circumstances but from the resilience and aspirations within each of us. “Learn to pressure yourself to rise and shine, for no one else can do it for you.”

Although challenges lie ahead and things may not be perfect, with a positive spirit, a kind heart, and trust in each other, I believe Sacombank will continue to thrive and prosper.

Ms. Nguyen Duc Thach Diem, born in 1973, holds a Doctorate in Finance and Banking. With 18 years of experience in economics, finance, and banking, she began her career at Sacombank in 2002.

On July 3, 2017, Ms. Diem was appointed as the Acting CEO of Sacombank and served as the bank’s spokesperson. Prior to this role, she had been the bank’s Deputy CEO since April 7, 2014.

Ms. Diem has held various positions in the fields of accounting, credit, customer service, corporate clients, internal inspection and control, debt handling, and management for 11 years at transaction offices, branch departments, the Ho Chi Minh City Regional Office, the South-Central Coast and Central Highlands Region, and across the entire Sacombank system.
