According to a survey conducted by reporters in early June 2025, the Yamaha PG-1 – a compact, off-road-style bike – is being offered at attractive prices by authorized dealers.
Specifically, the Yamaha PG-1 is now available at prices ranging from 29 to 30 million VND, approximately 1 million VND below the listed price, depending on the color chosen by the customer. The Green-Black, Black-Silver, Sand Brown, and Yellow-Black versions are about 500,000 VND more expensive than the other color options.
Moreover, to attract customers, each dealership offers different promotions such as cash gifts, vouchers, or support for vehicle registration fees.

When it was first introduced in the Vietnamese market, the Yamaha PG-1 created a stir with its suggested retail price of 31 million VND. The limited supply of bikes to dealerships at that time led to a price hike of 3-5 million VND for the PG-1. Private motorcycle dealers even quoted prices as high as 40 million VND, especially for the more popular colors.
In Vietnam, the Yamaha PG-1 is locally assembled and distributed. The bike features a unique mini-bike off-road style with a fresh and distinctive color scheme.
With overall dimensions of 1,980 x 805 x 1,050 mm (length x width x height), a wheelbase of 1,280 mm, a seat height of 795 mm, and a ground clearance of 190 mm, the PG-1 is a compact yet spacious ride. Its weight, including a 5.1-liter fuel tank, is just 107 kg.
Yamaha equips the PG-1 with a classic round halogen headlight. The front and rear turn signals are basic in design, similar to those found on other Yamaha models. At the rear, the PG-1 features two round reflectors.

The instrument cluster is quite unique, featuring a round speedometer and odometer, and a separate fuel gauge and indicator light cluster beside it.

The PG-1 sports 16-inch front and rear wheels with off-road-style tires. Its underbone frame design, with the fuel tank located under the seat, is paired with long telescopic front forks and a naked bike-style handlebar. The rear suspension consists of dual shock absorbers with 130 mm and 109 mm of travel for the front and rear, respectively. Braking duties are handled by a front disc and rear drum setup, without ABS.

Powering the Yamaha PG-1 is a 115 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, similar to the one found in the Yamaha Finn. It produces a maximum output of approximately 9 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 9.5 Nm at 5,500 rpm. A 4-speed gearbox transmits this power to the rear wheel.
According to the manufacturer, the Yamaha PG-1 has a fuel consumption rate of 1.69 liters per 100 km, making it one of the most fuel-efficient bikes in the market today.
