Regarding the arrangement and allocation of office headquarters for provincial-level agencies and units post-merger between Bac Lieu and Ca Mau, several departments and sectors are expected to relocate, including: the Department of Agriculture and Environment; the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; the Provincial Inspectorate; the Management Board of Industrial Parks; and the Department of Health, among others.

The Ca Mau City People’s Committee headquarters is anticipated to become the new workplace of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
Among these, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has the largest number of post-merger officers, civil servants, and public employees, totaling over 2,200 individuals (1,444 from Ca Mau and 826 from Bac Lieu). They are expected to be accommodated at the current headquarters of the Ca Mau City Party Committee and People’s Committee.
The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism will have a total of 80 staff members, with 75 based in the new Ca Mau province and 5 remaining in Bac Lieu until December 2025. Their workplace is anticipated to be at the former premises of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, along with the former premises of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, providing both office space and accommodations for officials.
The Department of Health is expected to be located at the current address of the Ca Mau Provincial Inspectorate, with 67 staff members (64 in the new Ca Mau province and 3 in Bac Lieu to handle private medical and pharmaceutical practice permits and other tasks).
Post-merger, the Ca Mau Provincial Inspectorate will comprise 245 personnel (120 from Ca Mau and 125 from Bac Lieu) and is expected to occupy the current premises of the Department of Agriculture and Environment. Meanwhile, the Department of Finance is anticipated to be located at the former headquarters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
Additionally, several departments will continue operating from their current premises, including: the Department of Justice, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Provincial People’s Council, and the Department of Education and Training. The Provincial People’s Committee Office, the Department of Home Affairs, and the Department of Science and Technology will be based in the Provincial People’s Committee building.
Regarding the Party apparatus, the Ca Mau Party Committee currently has a total of 296 officials and employees (266 working in Ca Mau, 9 remaining in Bac Lieu, and 21 on retirement or transferred to other duties). The construction of the Party Committee headquarters is underway and expected to be completed before September 2nd.
