In the latest edition of 'Gateway To Vietnam', organized by SSI Securities on June 5th, experts delved into the intricacies of US tariff policies and their far-reaching implications. The discussion, titled "The Art Behind the Tariff Wave", explored how these policies impact trade flows, investment patterns, and Vietnam's economic growth prospects.
Despite net buying of almost VND 129 billion by domestic investors on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE), the market continued its downward trend for the second consecutive session, closing at 1,342 points due to net selling of over VND 490 billion by foreign investors.
"The Ministry of Finance revealed that in the first five months of the year, tax authorities scrutinized nearly 165,000 e-commerce business taxpayers. Over 25,000 individuals and households were subject to additional tax collections, totaling more than VND 330 billion."
