On May 25, 2025, the People’s Committee of the City received Report No. 113/BC-SNNMT from the Department of Agriculture and Environment on the progress of site clearance for public investment projects in the area.

Regarding this issue, the City People’s Committee directs the Chairpersons of the People’s Committees of districts, towns, and municipalities to be proactive and determined in site clearance work for projects. In case of any difficulties, study similar cases where the city has resolved policy obstacles and promptly report to the City People’s Committee for guidance. Strengthen land management, prevent encroachment and illegal construction, and promptly remove land-related violations.

The units continue to ensure transparency and promote democracy in site clearance work, enhance communication and mobilization to help people understand and comply with the competent authorities’ land retrieval policies.

City departments and branches proactively propose and coordinate with the People’s Committees of districts, towns, and municipalities to resolve difficulties and obstacles in land retrieval and site clearance. Timely guidance and preparation of sufficient land funds and resettlement housing for people with retrieved land, ensuring their lives are equal to or better than before.

Agencies and individuals in charge of compensation, support, and resettlement should study, learn, and exchange knowledge about land-related regulations and effective implementation of compensation, support, and resettlement.

The City People’s Committee considers allocating land funds in urban areas and housing projects handed over to the City for resettlement of people with retrieved land to implement key projects, especially land retrieval projects in commercially valuable locations.

The People’s Committees of districts, towns, and municipalities proactively propagate investment projects and their positive impacts on local socio-economic development, creating consensus among the people. Encourage the implementation of land retrieval decisions through appropriate and effective methods and measures, ensuring transparency, fairness, and equality in the implementation of compensation, support, and resettlement policies.

City departments, branches, and People’s Committees of districts, towns, and municipalities shall inspect and implement the recommendations of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
