This year, Thaifex features the participation of over 3,100 companies from more than 50 countries and territories, along with over 2,000 top global buyers. Vietnam has a record-breaking participation of over 170 enterprises from various industries, including seafood, beverages, processed food, fruits and agricultural products, coffee, rice, cashews, and more. Among these, prominent large enterprises include Vinamilk (HOSE: VNM), known as the most valuable food brand in the ASEAN region (according to Brand Finance, 2023) and ranked 6th globally in the dairy industry in terms of brand value.
Notably, although dairy products are not a traditional strength of Vietnam or Southeast Asian countries compared to their renowned agricultural produce, Vinamilk’s presence still attracted much attention from customers and major partners.
Sharing insights on their participation in trade promotion at the fair, Mr. Vo Trung Hieu, International Business Director representing Vinamilk, stated: “Thaiflex is one of the international exhibitions that Vinamilk has participated in since the early stages of our export journey. In the beginning, Vinamilk attended to promote our brand and seek partners from Asian regions and potential markets. At that time, most customers were interested in tropical agricultural products from Southeast Asia, and dairy products were not as prominent as they are today. Thanks to our persistent brand-building efforts and relationship cultivation, Vinamilk has become a familiar name at the event, and Thaifex is one of our key activities that have contributed to our export market development over the years.”

According to Mr. Jeffrey Chung (CEO of Vinamilk’s business partner in Asia), his company has been importing and distributing a diverse range of Vinamilk products in Taiwan for almost a decade. They first learned about and were impressed by Vinamilk through ThaiFex many years ago and subsequently established a long-term cooperation. Vinamilk excels in meeting their requirements for product quality, adhering to high international standards, and understanding market demands and tastes. They also offer excellent services and competitive prices. Moving forward, in addition to fresh milk and condensed milk, they are interested in Vinamilk’s new products.
Beyond trade promotion, Thaifex, with its growing scale and influence, also serves as a platform for introducing technologies, processing solutions, raw materials, and more for the food and beverage industry. Recently, Vinamilk has been participating in Thaifex to explore suppliers from developed countries in the dairy industry to support their R&D and production needs.
Export: More Than Just Business, It’s About Building a Brand
Vinamilk‘s export activities in recent years have been vigorously promoted, not only contributing positively to the company’s revenue but also building its brand in the international market. This has helped promote Vietnamese food and dairy brands globally, with Vinamilk being recognized as a leading representative of Vietnam and a National Brand for 16 consecutive years.
As a leading dairy manufacturer, Vinamilk has introduced numerous new products featuring breakthrough technological and nutritional advancements. These products have attained stringent certifications and prestigious international standards, such as meeting over 400 criteria for safety and transparency set by the Clean Label Project (USA) and 200 criteria by Monde Selection (Belgium). Notable examples include Green Farm sterilized fresh milk, 9-nut milk, high-protein nut milk, 9-nut yogurt, coconut water, and more. Additionally, their well-known National Brand products, such as Ong Tho and Ngoi Sao Phuong Nam condensed milk and Probi, continue to be mainstays in their portfolio.
Mr. Oliver Hensel from Germany shared his impressions, stating, “I find Vinamilk‘s products diverse and innovative. The taste of their fresh milk and nut milk is delightful, with a fresh and mild flavor. I am especially impressed by their advanced production technology and the numerous reputable quality certifications they have obtained from international organizations.”

According to Mr. Tran Phu Lu – Director of Ho Chi Minh City Trade Promotion Center (ITPC): “The presence of large and leading enterprises at international trade promotion fairs affirms the status of Vietnamese National Brands and motivates, connects, and propels small and medium-sized enterprises.”
In the first quarter of 2025, export revenue reached VND 1,620 billion, a robust 24.9% increase compared to the same period last year. This contributed to foreign market revenue accounting for over 20% of Vinamilk‘s total revenue for the first time (23%). This is also the seventh consecutive quarter of positive export revenue growth for Vinamilk, despite the challenges in international business. Notably, in early 2025, Vinamilk expanded into two new export markets, bringing the cumulative total to 65, further extending the reach and reinforcing the quality of this billion-dollar Vietnamese brand in the global dairy market.
