VietJet Appoints New Board Member, Mr. Philipp Rösler
VietJet Aviation Joint Stock Company (code: VJC) has announced changes to its leadership team. Specifically, Mr. Philipp Rösler has been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors, effective May 30, 2025.
Mr. Philipp Rösler, born in 1973 in Soc Trang, served as the Vice Chancellor of Germany from 2011 to 2014.

In terms of business performance, in the first quarter of 2025, the consolidated results recorded revenue of VND 17,952 billion and pre-tax profit of VND 836 billion, an increase of 24% over the same period in 2024, thereby completing 38% of the full-year 2025 plan (VND 2,200 billion in pre-tax profit).
In the first three months of 2025, Vietjet carried more than 6.87 million passengers on nearly 38,700 flights, an increase of over 9% and 12% respectively compared to the same period in 2024. The airline operated a total of 137 routes, including 40 domestic and 97 international routes.
With the addition of two new aircraft in the first quarter, Vietjet’s fleet now stands at 106 aircraft, with the youngest fleet age in the region. The airline’s flights achieved an average seat utilization rate of 87% and a technical reliability rate of 99.72%.
Most recently, Vietjet has placed a new order with Airbus for 20 wide-body A330-900 aircraft to support the airline’s development plans for the next decade. This long-term order will facilitate Vietjet’s ongoing international expansion, enabling the airline to increase flights on high-demand routes across the Asia-Pacific region and debut new long-haul routes to Europe in the future.
