On the evening of June 5, 2025, the MICHELIN Guide Hanoi | Ho Chi Minh City | Da Nang 2025 announcement ceremony officially took place in Da Nang, gathering over 300 guests, including renowned chefs, culinary experts, partners, and local and international media.

This year’s event was condensed into one night, revealing the full list of selected dining establishments in the three cities, including MICHELIN Stars, Bib Gourmand, MICHELIN Selected, and special awards.

The most anticipated category, MICHELIN Stars, honors restaurants with exceptional culinary techniques. This year, nine restaurants in Vietnam were awarded one MICHELIN Star, including a brand new entrant and a restaurant that improved its ranking from the previous year.

The 2025 list of one-star MICHELIN restaurants includes seven familiar names from previous years and two new additions:

– Gia (Hanoi): A contemporary Vietnamese fine dining restaurant that stands out for its refined ingredient handling and elegant ambiance.

– Hibana by Koki (Hanoi): A Teppanyaki-style restaurant within the Capella Hotel, impressing diners with its elaborate presentations and premium ingredients.

– Tam Vi (Hanoi): Evoking old Northern charm, this restaurant captivates diners with its traditional Vietnamese menu and consistent flavors across dishes.

– Long Trieu (Ho Chi Minh City): A high-end Chinese restaurant renowned for its exquisite cooking techniques, particularly in dim sum and Peking duck.

– Anan Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City): Famous for its fusion style, blending street food spirit with modern cooking techniques.

– Akuna (Ho Chi Minh City): A youthful fine dining destination where an Australian chef showcases creativity in blending local ingredients with international cuisine.

– La Maison 1888 (Da Nang): This French restaurant, located within the InterContinental resort—the venue for the MICHELIN Guide Vietnam 2025 announcement—maintained its MICHELIN Star status. It impresses with its seasonal menu and impeccable service.

Two new highlights on the list include:

– CieL (Ho Chi Minh City) – New MICHELIN Star recipient: CieL offers an intimate and refined setting, along with a creative and meticulous menu that bears the chef’s personal touch. It is highly regarded for its attention to detail and consistency.

– Coco Dining (Ho Chi Minh City) – Upgraded to one MICHELIN Star: Led by Chef Vo Thanh Vuong, a former fisherman from Phan Thiet, Coco Dining continues to showcase unique contemporary Vietnamese cuisine. It impresses with modern techniques, fermentation, and artistic presentations.

Even with its third edition in Vietnam, the MICHELIN Guide continues to excite the culinary community with each new list. These new names and creative stories behind the dishes not only bring prestigious recognition but also propel Vietnamese cuisine further onto the global culinary map.
