On June 8, information from the Board of Management of Regional Traffic Projects and Specialized Agriculture in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province revealed that two key traffic projects are being urgently implemented to enhance infrastructure connectivity, alleviate traffic congestion, and boost the development of urban and industrial areas.
The upgraded and expanded Hoi Bai-Phuoc Tan Road in Phu My City improves traffic flow and reduces congestion.
Specifically, the Hoi Bai-Phuoc Tan Road upgrade and expansion project in Phu My City spans approximately 8.46 km with a total investment of nearly VND 3,700 billion. This route is a vital artery, playing a significant role in connecting industrial parks, seaports, and urban areas in Phu My City.
According to the Board of Management, the project is currently undergoing expedited preparation to meet the groundbreaking deadline on National Day (September 2) this year. Land clearance is being fast-tracked by the People’s Committee of Phu My City to ensure timely completion, while the investor is also in the process of selecting contractors as per legal regulations.
Implementing this project will not only enhance traffic flow but also help alleviate traffic congestion, especially with the rapid development of Phu My City, home to numerous large industrial parks and seaports.
In addition to the project in Phu My City, the main road project in Vung Tau City is also anticipated to transform the coastal city’s landscape. The 2.87 km-long road has a total investment of nearly VND 2,000 billion.

The project is under the management of the Board of Management of Specialized Traffic and Civil Engineering Projects in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province. As planned, construction will commence in August 2025.
Presently, the People’s Committee of Vung Tau City is expediting compensation and land clearance to ensure the timely handover of a clean site to the contractor.
This main road holds particular significance as it connects to the road leading to the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway, reducing travel time between Ba Ria-Vung Tau and neighboring provinces, especially Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai.
