The Thai Binh provincial police have reported that from June 11 to June 17, the Traffic Police Division recorded and penalized 85 vehicles for violating traffic laws. Of these, two vehicles ran red lights, and 83 vehicles were speeding.

Specifically, through the surveillance camera system, the traffic police identified two vehicles with license plates 30G-972.46 and 17A-309.76 violating the “Failure to comply with traffic light signals” regulation.

In addition, during their patrols, the traffic police recorded 83 cases of speeding, as illustrated in the figures below:

According to Decree 168/2024/ND-CP, drivers who exceed the speed limit by 5-10 km/h will be fined between VND 800,000 and VND 1 million. This violation will not result in the vehicle being impounded or points deducted from the driver’s license. However, those who drive at speeds 10-20 km/h above the limit will face a fine of VND 4-6 million and have two points deducted from their license.

For those driving 20-35 km/h over the speed limit, the fine is VND 6-8 million, with four points deducted. If a driver exceeds the speed limit by more than 35 km/h, the fine increases to VND 12-14 million, and six points are deducted from their license.

Additionally, if speeding results in a traffic accident, the driver will be fined VND 20-22 million and will have ten points deducted from their license.

According to Decree 168, in the event of a red light violation without causing a traffic accident, the fine for car drivers is VND 18-20 million, while motorcycle and electric bike drivers will be fined VND 4-6 million. Four points will also be deducted from the driver’s license.

Step 1: Download and install the VNeTraffic app from App Store/CH Play.

Step 2: Log in to your account.

If you don’t have an account, register by scanning the QR code in the top right corner of your ID card. Follow the instructions, enter your phone number, and click “Confirm.”

The system will then send an OTP code to your phone. Enter this code and set up your password.

Step 3: To check for personal traffic violations, select the “Violation Inquiry” section.

Step 4: Enter the vehicle’s license plate number and click “Check.”
