Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed decisions on the appointment of officials to the position of Chairman of the People’s Committees of newly merged provinces and cities.

Specifically, in Decision No. 1255/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Pham Hoang Son, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Thai Nguyen (new) for the 2020-2025 term, as Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thai Nguyen province (new) for the term 2021-2026.

In Decision No. 1256/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Dong Nai (new) for the 2020-2025 term, as Chairman of the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province (new) for the term 2021-2026.

In Decision No. 1258/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Phu Tho (new) for the 2020-2025 term, as Chairman of the People’s Committee of Phu Tho province (new) for the term 2021-2026.

In Decision No. 1260/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Vinh Long (new) for the 2020-2025 term, as Chairman of the People’s Committee of Vinh Long province (new) for the term 2021-2026.

In Decision No. 1261/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Ho Van Mung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of An Giang (new) for the 2020-2025 term, as Chairman of the People’s Committee of An Giang province (new) for the term 2021-2026.

In Decision No. 1299/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Tran Huy Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Lao Cai (new) for the 2020-2025 term, as Chairman of the People’s Committee of Lao Cai province (new) for the term 2021-2026.

These decisions come into effect from July 1, 2025.

In Decision No. 1259/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister approved the election result of Mr. Le Hai Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Cao Bang province for the 2020-2025 term, as Chairman of the People’s Committee of Cao Bang province for the term 2021-2026. This decision takes effect from the date of signing and issuing (June 24, 2025).

In Decision No. 1257/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister approved the dismissal of Mr. Hoang Xuan Anh, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Cao Bang province for the 2021-2026 term, due to his early retirement. This decision takes effect from the date of signing and issuing (June 24, 2025).
