Vice Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has urged Ho Chi Minh City to focus on preparing the necessary infrastructure and human resources for the development of an international financial center.

In the first four months of this year, Vietnam spent approximately $5.6 billion on imports from the United States, marking a significant 25.8% increase compared to the same period last year. Notably, this includes a substantial rise in the import of high-tech equipment and raw materials, indicating Vietnam's proactive efforts to boost imports from the US and strive for a harmonious trade balance.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has directed that financial arrangements be made promptly to facilitate early payments for those seeking retirement or facing redundancy due to provincial and communal mergers. This directive affects approximately 130,000 civil servants and 120,000 non-specialist workers at the communal level.
