On June 27th, the National Assembly passed a resolution to pilot several special mechanisms and policies to promote the development of Hai Phong city. Among these policies is the establishment of a Free Trade Area, a move that is expected to significantly boost the city's economy and attract foreign investment.

The Ministry of Finance has proposed a restructuring, suggesting the separation of investment appraisal and supervision functions from the Investment Department. This move would lead to the establishment of a new department, the Investment Supervision and Appraisal Department, reverting to its previous form before the merger with the Ministry of Planning and Investment. The current Investment Department has a leadership structure consisting of ten department-level leaders and twelve room-level leaders.

On the morning of June 27, the People's Committee of District 12 inaugurated the upgrading and expansion project of Tan Thoi Hiep 21 Street, with a total investment of VND 1,315 billion from the city's budget.
