Agencies are ramping up discount promotions for smartphone models to clear inventory and boost consumer spending in the lead-up to the Lunar New Year.

iPhone 11

After more than 4 years since its launch, right around the time of Lunar New Year, the iPhone 11 – the longest-selling iPhone model from Apple – still has new units available at retail stores.

Specifically, the unboxing and price-tag for the 64GB version of the iPhone 11 are currently at 9.85 million VND, while the 128GB version is at 11.42 million VND. Retailers have stated that there is still quite a limited quantity of iPhone 11 units remaining, with the majority being the 128GB version and both versions currently only available in black or white.

As such, the price-tag for the iPhone 11 has dropped to an all-time low of more than 10 million VND, Notably, this price-tag does not even include the old-for-new trade-in deal. If participating in this program, buyers can reduce the price by an additional 500,000 to 1 million VND.

The release of the iPhone 11 made a strong impression on consumers with its youthful design, with rounded edges throughout. This is also the first iPhone model from Apple to embrace a rear camera cluster housed within a square frame.

Towards the Lunar New Year, the price of the iPhone 12 continues to hit a new record low at retail stores. As such, the 64GB version of the iPhone 12 is now available for just 12.19 million VND, while the more popular 128GB version has a price tag of 13.99 million VND.

Therefore, the price of the iPhone 12 has been reduced by a significant 12-13 million VND compared to the listed price. Retailers have also mentioned that this is the lowest price of the iPhone 12 since its launch in the Vietnamese market. At the same time, there is still quite a limited quantity of iPhone 12 units at retail stores, mostly the 128GB version.
