Starting from February 1, 2024, several banks have begun applying new interest rates, such as Sacombank, ABBank, BAOVIET Bank, all of which are lower than the previous interest rates. Prior to that, on January 31, 2024, Agribank and HDBank also adjusted their deposit interest rates downwards. Specifically, the interest rates at some terms decreased by an average of 0.1-0.2 percentage points compared to the previous interest rates.

According to the survey of online savings interest rates at 16 banks as of the morning of February 1, 2024, for terms less than 12 months, the deposit interest rates at the Big 4 group of banks are currently the lowest in the system, ranging from around 1.7-1.9% per year for a 1-month term, 2-2.2% per year for a 3-month term, and 3-3.2% per year for a 6-month term. For the 12-24 month term, VietinBank has the highest deposit interest rate at 5-5.3% per year.

For the 1-month term, NCB offers the highest interest rate of 3.9% per year, followed by BAOVIET Bank with 3.5% per year.

For the 3-month term, the highest deposit interest rate currently in effect is 4.1% per year at NCB. Several banks offer interest rates ranging from 3 to just under 4% per year for this term, including Techcombank, TPBank, VIB, SHB, Viet A Bank, HDBank, ABBank, BAOVIET Bank, ACB.

For the 6-month term, ABBank offers the highest interest rate of up to 5% per year. Meanwhile, SHB and NCB apply an interest rate of 4.9% per year. Followed by HDBank, Viet A Bank,…

For the 12-month term, the highest interest rate currently in effect is 5.3-5.35% per year at SHB, NCB, BAOVIET Bank. Next is VietinBank with 5% per year.

For the 24-month term, SHB applies a savings interest rate of up to 6.2% per year, followed by NCB (5.85% per year), MB (5.8% per year), HDBank and Viet A Bank (5.7% per year). The lowest is ABBank with an applied interest rate of only 4.4% per year.
