342 New Real Estate Companies Established in the First Month of 2024

According to the statistics from the General Statistics Office, there were 342 newly established real estate businesses and 149 dissolved businesses in January 2024.

Specifically, the country had 13.5 thousand newly established businesses with a registered capital of 151.5 trillion VND and more than 103.4 thousand registered workers, an increase of 2.2% in the number of businesses, a decrease of 2.3% in registered capital, and an increase of 31.8% in the number of workers compared to December 2023.

Compared to the same period last year, there was an increase of 24.8% in the number of businesses, 52.8% in registered capital, and 50.8% in the number of workers.

In the real estate sector alone, in the first month of 2024, the country had 342 newly established real estate business, equivalent to 101.2% compared to the same period in 2022.

The number of real estate businesses returning to operation was 645 businesses, equivalent to 129.3% compared to the same period.

The average registered capital of a newly established business in the month reached 11.2 billion VND, a decrease of 4.4% compared to the previous month and an increase of 22.4% compared to the same period in 2023. If we include the additional registered capital of 4.4 thousand businesses, the total additional registered capital injected into the economy in January 2024 was 370.1 trillion VND, a decrease of 2.1% compared to the same period last year.

In addition, there were nearly 13.8 thousand businesses returning to operation nationwide (2.2 times higher than in December 2023 and a decrease of 8.4% compared to the same period in 2023), bringing the total number of newly established and returning businesses in January 2024 to over 27.3 thousand businesses, an increase of 5.5% compared to the same period last year.

By economic region, in January 2024, there were 151 newly established businesses in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector, an increase of 20.8% compared to January 2023; 3,208 businesses in the industrial and construction sector, an increase of 26.3%; 10.2 thousand businesses in the service sector, an increase of 24.4%; and 342 businesses in the real estate sector, an increase of 1.2%.

In January 2024, there were also 43.9 thousand businesses temporarily suspending their operations, an increase of 25.5% compared to the same period last year; 7,798 businesses ceased operations awaiting dissolution procedures, an increase of 14%; and 2,165 businesses completed dissolution procedures, an increase of 6.2%.

 

In January 2024, there were 2,000 real estate businesses temporarily suspending their operations, equivalent to 138% compared to the same period. The number of dissolved businesses was 149 businesses, equivalent to 97.4% compared to the same period.
