Will depositing money into the bank on Lunar New Year bring good luck all year?

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, many believe that depositing money into a bank will bring good luck for the entire year.

Lap Xuân is the first of the 24 solar terms. This date is usually fixed on the 4th or 5th of February in the Gregorian calendar and is considered the day when humans harmonize with heaven and earth. According to feng shui experts, Lap Xuân in 2024 falls on February 4th, 2022 in the Gregorian calendar (the 25th of the twelfth lunar month). From 15:27 onwards, it will enter Lap Xuân, marking the beginning of the new year’s fortune.

Due to the feng shui significance of Lap Xuân, many believe that starting important activities such as opening ceremonies, traveling, or starting a new business on this day will bring good luck throughout the year. In addition to these major events, depositing money in a bank on this day is also believed to bring prosperity and wealth throughout the year.

This year, Lap Xuân falls on a Sunday, so those who believe in the day’s auspiciousness for banking transactions can only choose to do online transactions.
