3 Social Housing Projects in Da Lat Facing Delayed Commencement

The Kim Dong, Sao Nam, and 5B-CC5 social housing projects are experiencing delays of 3 to 4 months in the land investment procedures.

The People’s Committee of Da Lat city has assigned departments and ward People’s Committees of wards 3, 4, 6, and 11 with urgent tasks to speed up the progress of implementing the roadmap for commencing social housing projects in the city by 2024, ensuring compliance with the approved plan and schedule by the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee.

According to city leaders, out of the three social housing projects, only the Sào Nam social housing project (ward 11) has essentially complied with the plan and roadmap. The Kim Dong social housing project (ward 6) and the Planning 5B – CC5 social housing project in the 5B residential area – the 5B resettlement area (wards 3 and 4) are delayed by 110 days compared to the set plan.

Therefore, relevant units need to determine the specific completion time, completed and uncompleted tasks, and assess the progress of implementation for each assigned task, with a focus on prioritizing land clearance work and developing specific land price proposals for these three projects.

According to the Department of Construction of Lam Dong Province, based on the unified roadmap of the Provincial People’s Committee, the Sào Nam social housing project is currently delayed by about 90 days, while the other two projects are delayed by about 110 days.

In order to commence another social housing project in Da Lat City according to the agreed roadmap of the Provincial People’s Committee, the Department of Construction recommends that the Provincial People’s Committee direct the departments, agencies, and the Da Lat City People’s Committee to concentrate and expedite the progress of implementing the assigned tasks according to the plan and roadmap of the Provincial People’s Committee.

Scale of the three social housing projects in Da Lat

The Planning 5B – CC5 social housing project in the 5B residential area – the 5B resettlement area covers an area of nearly 21,000 square meters, with a total investment capital of over 418 billion VND (excluding the costs of land clearance compensation).

Three apartment buildings will be constructed here, including 480 units in total. Among them, there are two social housing buildings with 420 units and one commercial housing building with 60 units. The project will be tendered for investor selection.

The Kim Dong social housing project covers an area of over 3,300 square meters, with an investment capital of nearly 95 billion VND (excluding the costs of land clearance compensation). One social housing building with 94 units will be constructed here, implemented through the form of tendering for investor selection.

The Sào Nam social housing project covers an area of over 16,400 square meters, with an investment capital of nearly 519 billion VND (excluding the costs of land clearance compensation). The project will construct two apartment blocks with a total of 662 social housing units, implemented through the form of tendering for investor selection.
