From January 29th to February 2nd, the annual meeting of JLR Asia-Pacific was held in Vietnam, bringing together directors and senior managers from countries in the region.
This was an opportunity for JLR regional leaders and senior managers to review the business results for 2023 and outline the strategies and action plans for the next phase, with a focus on implementing action plans to realize “Modern Luxury”.
JLR members from countries in the region had a tour of the new JLR showroom in Hanoi.
The first new Land Rover showroom in the world in Hanoi was chosen as one of the destinations for these events. The space was just inaugurated in November 2023 and has become a new standard for Land Rover globally.
JLR representatives from various countries expressed their surprise and were impressed by the reception of the staff, the layout, and the attention to detail that changed their experience compared to a typical showroom.

“Impressed by the seamless experience”
That was the feeling of Jane Tor, Sales Manager of JLR Singapore, after visiting the new JLR showroom standard in Hanoi. She was impressed with everything here, from the music to the design and interior fittings, all harmoniously connected to provide comfort and relaxation for customers.
What surprised Jane Tor the most was the restrooms. Everything was automated and modern with advanced technology. “I think these are small things that make a big difference in the experience,” she emphasized.
In addition, Jane Tor also appreciated the seamless experience when stepping into the new space of Land Rover Vietnam. As soon as customers enter, the receptionist will take them to the sales consultant. The barista proactively approaches and serves customers instead of them having to go to the bar counter to order. The service advisor can see customers coming from afar and is ready to welcome them. All of this creates the seamless experience that Jane Tor mentioned.
“I feel very relaxed from the moment I stepped into the showroom. This is truly a wonderful place to shop. I really hope to have a similar JLR showroom model in my country (Singapore – PV),” Jane Tor added.
“Seeing the difference from the outside”
Chris Ward, Chairman of JLR Philippines, was surprised after visiting the new showroom by the complete difference of this place compared to the current JLR showroom in the Philippines.
“In my opinion, the biggest difference of this project is the openness and welcoming care, giving customers a cozy feeling. When customers step in, they feel very comfortable and close. This place is like an exhibition center and the cars are displayed like works of art in it,” Chris Ward commented.
Chris Ward expressed his enthusiasm for all the experiences in the new showroom. He said the impression came right from when they walked in from the outside.
“Customers arrive, park their cars, and at that moment, they feel that something special is waiting inside,” Chris Ward added.
A cozy and open space is what Chris Ward highly appreciates.
“A great model that is hard to replicate”
Sharing the same feeling with the two JLR representatives from Singapore and the Philippines, Irvino Edwardly, Sales and Marketing Director of JLR Indonesia, said that this is a comfortable and cozy experience, like stepping into an art gallery rather than a traditional car showroom.
“Indonesia and Vietnam have certain similarities. The prices of cars in both countries are very high. Jaguar Land Rover customers here are often people with substantial assets and have a significant influence in society. They are very busy. Therefore, a center like this will be very close and give them a special feeling when experiencing luxury car shopping,” Irvino Edwardly shared.
Irvino Edwardly highly appreciates the new JLR showroom standard in Hanoi and desires to have a similar model in Indonesia. However, he believes there are many challenges ahead to accomplish that. The first challenge is regarding location and space. In Indonesia, it is very difficult to find a large plot of land in a beautiful location like in Vietnam. The second challenge is about capital. To have such a modern facility, it will require a huge investment, which is very difficult in Indonesia.
“I believe Phu Thai Mobility was very lucky to choose such an excellent location and a large construction area like this,” Irvino Edwardly emphasized.
The spacious and luxurious facility of the new JLR showroom in Hanoi surprises many people.
Investing in a building with a showroom like in Indonesia is a major challenge as Irvino Edwardly shared. However, in Vietnam, JLR has plans to build the second new standard showroom. The center will be located in Ho Chi Minh City to enhance the Jaguar Land Rover shopping experience for customers in the South.
