On February 5th, Lynk & Co officially unveiled the 07 EM-P PHEV sedan with an electric range of 102 km. Specifically, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) revealed the Geely and Volvo’s Lynk & Co 07 EM-P when they applied for sales licenses. This is a mid-size plug-in hybrid sedan with a range of up to 102 km. Production of the 07 will begin this month, with plans to launch it into the market.

Lynk & Co is a joint brand of Geely and Volvo, established in 2016. The company’s current lineup includes seven models in the domestic market. In foreign markets, Lynk & Co almost exclusively offers a single model, the 01 crossover. In China, the regulatory agency has announced the latest addition to the Lynk & Co line-up. It is the sedan 07 EM-P.

Specifications and Exterior of the Lynk & Co 07 EM-P:

The Lynk & Co 07 EM-P is produced according to the brand’s distinctive design language introduced by the Lynk & Co The Next Day concept car. The same styling has previously been applied to the Lynk & Co 06 EM-P and Lynk & Co 08 EM-P crossover models. From the front, the 07 has slim headlights integrated into the grille. The car also features black window pillars and roof, retractable door handles, frameless rearview mirrors, and LED taillights.

Specifications revealed on the MIIT portal

The Lynk & Co 07 EM-P measures 4827/1900/1480 mm with a wheelbase of 2843 mm. Compared to popular models, the 07 EM-P is slightly shorter than the Toyota Camry. The front and rear wheels of this Chinese saloon are the same at 1622 mm. The total weight is 2319 kg. Inside, the Lynk & Co 07 EM-P has five seats.

The Lynk & Co 07 EM-P uses the EM-P PHEV powertrain with a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine (BHE15-BFZ) producing 120 horsepower.

MIIT China does not provide any information about the electric motor of the 07 EM-P. According to previous data, the initial version of this sedan will use a 160 horsepower electric motor. The Chinese regulatory agency confirmed that the Lynk & Co 07 E-MP uses the CALB 18.99 kWh LFP battery. It can travel up to 102 km before the gasoline engine kicks in. In the future, the Lynk & Co 07 EM-P may have variants with larger batteries.

As of November 2023, Lynk & Co has reached the milestone of producing 1 million vehicles for the global market and distributing them through a network of nearly 400 dealers, service centers, and unique connection club chains. The car has also officially entered the Vietnamese market at the end of 2023.
