Nguyen Thi Mai Thanh
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Thanh (born in 1952) – Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Refrigeration Electrical Engineering Corporation (REE) – is a rare female entrepreneur born in the year of the Dragon. Ms. Thanh was born on December 25, 1952 in Tay Ninh province, Vietnam. She graduated from Karl Marx Stadt Technical University (Germany).

Since 1982, Ms. Thanh has been working for REE. She played a key role in the company’s privatization in the early 1990s, which made REE one of the first two stocks traded on the Vietnamese stock market.
Currently, Ms. Thanh holds nearly 50 million REE shares, equivalent to 12.2% of the company’s charter capital. In addition, her daughter Nguyen Ngoc Nhat Hanh holds over 5.4 million REE shares, her son Nguyen Ngoc Thai Binh owns 8,010,434 REE shares, and her husband Nguyen Ngoc Hai holds over 22 million REE shares.
Mr. Do Minh Phu
Mr. Do Minh Phu (born in 1952) – Chairman of the Board of Directors of TPBank (TPB) – was born as the third child in a family of entrepreneurs.

Mr. Phu is a successful entrepreneur who started his business in the 1990s and built renowned private companies. In 2007, he invested heavily in building the first gold and jewelry commercial center in Vietnam, named Doji Plaza (or Ruby Plaza), located on Le Ngoc Han Street, Hanoi.
This Dragon-year entrepreneur became famous after the successful acquisition of 95% shares of Diana Vietnam JSC by Unicharm Group (Japan) with a value of USD 128 million (over VND 2,560 billion), which was owned by Mr. Phu and his siblings.
When TPBank was one of the 9 joint stock commercial banks that had to be restructured during the period of 2011-2015, Mr. Phu, along with his brother and Doji Group, invested in the bank’s shares.
Mr. Dang Thanh Tam
Mr. Dang Thanh Tam (born in 1964) – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation (KBC).

Mr. Tam is a businessman with multiple degrees, including a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Ship Captain Engineer, a Bachelor of Law, and a Diploma in Business Management from Henley Business School (United Kingdom). Since 1996, Mr. Tam has held various key positions in many companies such as Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation, T&T Investment and Industry Corporation, Saigon Telecom Technology Company, etc.
In 2007, when Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation and T&T Investment and Industry Corporation were listed, Mr. Dang Thanh Tam became the richest person in Vietnam’s stock market. In the following 3 years, he ranked third on the list of the richest people in Vietnam.
This Dragon-year entrepreneur has experienced many ups and downs in his life and has sold many investments. He has focused on his core business, which is industrial real estate.
Mr. Pham Dinh Doan
Mr. Pham Dinh Doan (born in 1964) – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Phu Thai Group. Mr. Doan founded Phu Thai Co., Ltd. in 1993 with just over 10 members, focusing on the retail market.

Nowadays, Phu Thai Group has become a leading distributor in Vietnam with more than 50,000 customers, including supermarket chains, hotels, restaurants, wholesalers, and retailers across the country.
Phu Thai Group has more than 100 domestic and international suppliers, including major brands such as P&G, Nike, Philips, DutchLady, etc. The group has also diversified its sources of capital with investments in the retail, real estate, and finance sectors.
In 2022, the group’s revenue reached over VND 10,000 billion, an increase of nearly 170% compared to 2020.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy
Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy (born in 1976) – Chairman of the Board of Directors of LPBank. Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy graduated from Colorado State University (USA) and has held important positions in many large corporations, operating in various sectors such as finance, securities, insurance, real estate, construction, energy, cement, etc.

Since 2006, Mr. Thuy has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Xuan Thanh Group. In the following years, he held important positions in various companies, including LPBank, Xuan Thanh Solar Power, Xuan Thanh Cement, Kim Lien Joint Stock Company, etc.
In December 2022, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy was elected Chairman of LPBank’s Board of Directors. After the 2023 shareholders’ meeting, he continued to be entrusted by the new Board of Directors to hold the highest leadership position at LPBank.
On November 9, 2020, Mr. Thuy participated in the bell ringing ceremony on the day LPBank was listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE), alongside other key executives of the bank. Following Mr. Thuy’s appearance, his brothers Nguyen Van Thuy and Doan Nguyen Ngoc – his brother and brother-in-law – also joined LPBank.
