The first international flight brought a group of tourists from Thailand to Da Nang. The “opening” tourists were welcomed by lion dance performances and special gifts from Da Nang.
The first international tourists arrived in Da Nang on the first day of Tet, Giap Thin.
Especially, the program “harvesting spring luck” with gifts being vouchers for attractions and entertainment including Asia Park, Nui Than Tai hot mineral park, and Da Nang Ao Dai Show for tourists during their experience in the city.
Immediately after, domestic tourists on flight VN157 from Hanoi also landed. The group of tourists were presented with conical hats, ginger candy, and grilled coconut cakes.
This Tet holiday, Da Nang welcomes nearly 900 flights.
According to Mr. Tan Van Vuong – Deputy Director of Da Nang Tourism Department, on the first day of Tet, the city welcomed over 120 domestic and international flights with more than 17,000 passengers, including over 50 international flights with about 7,500 passengers.
“This is a positive signal bringing the expectation that tourism in Da Nang will have more shine and continue to develop strongly in the Year of Giap Thin 2024,” he assessed.
During the 7-day Tet holiday of Giap Thin 2024 (from February 8th to 14th), it is expected that there will be nearly 900 domestic and international flights to Da Nang, an increase of 16% compared to the same period last year.
