In February, Honda Vietnam is applying discounts and price reductions for almost all the product range. Specifically, the Honda City L and G versions, produced in 2023, are entitled to 100% registration fee waiver (equivalent to 55.9-58.9 million VND) along with a cash support of 30 million VND. Therefore, the total discount is 85.9-88.9 million VND.
The Honda City RS, produced in 2023, is discounted by 50% of the registration fee (equivalent to 30.45 million VND) and includes 1 year of comprehensive insurance. The two higher segment sedans, Civic and Accord, are also discounted by 50% of the registration fee and include 1 year of comprehensive insurance.
For the SUV/CUV product range, the Honda HR-V, CR-V G produced in 2023, and CR-V L produced in 2023 are subject to a common 50% registration fee reduction, corresponding to a cash discount of 35-43.8 million VND, 55.45 million VND, and 58-65.5 million VND. The CR-V G produced in 2023 is additionally entitled to a cash support of 30 million VND, making the total discount 85.45 million VND. The CR-V L produced in 2023 is entitled to 1 year of comprehensive insurance.
All registration fee discounts are calculated based on the 10% registration fee and do not include dealer discounts. For example, Honda Vietnam offers a 50% discount on the registration fee for the Accord (equivalent to 65.95 million VND), but the actual discount at dealerships usually exceeds 150 million VND. The BR-V does not have any announced discounts by Honda Vietnam in February, but dealerships still maintain a discount of 30-40 million VND.
In 2023, Honda is the 7th largest car brand in the Vietnamese automotive market with a total sales of 23,802 cars, accounting for a market share of 8.6%. Among them, the two best-selling models are still the City (9,894 cars) and the CR-V (5,758 cars).
