Over 1,000 workers to work during Tet at Nghi Son Economic Zone

In addition, port operating units such as Nghi Son International Port, Dai Duong International Port, Long Son Port in Nghi Son Economic Zone also base on the port schedule to arrange the appropriate number of employees per day, per shift.

Nghi Son 2 BOT Thermal Power Plant arranged 150 staff members to participate in operations during Tet.

Nguyen Huu Manh, Head of Operations at Nghi Son 2 BOT Thermal Power Plant, said that with the production efforts in 2023, Nghi Son 2 BOT Thermal Power Plant supplied 6.22 billion kWh of electricity to the national grid, with a production value of over VND 14,000 billion and contributed VND 1,148 billion to the state budget, ranking second after Nghi Son Oil Refinery Plant. On the occasion of Tet holiday, the unit arranged 150 staff members to participate in operations.

“Although our operations department has 50% of employees from far away places, due to the nature of the work, the staff members are always accompanied by the production and operation plan, aiming for regular and stable power supply. By 2024, the plant has built a production plan to reach 7.2 billion kWh of electricity, with a monthly revenue of VND 1,500 billion,” Nguyen Huu Manh added.

Nghi Son 2 BOT Thermal Power Plant strives to achieve a production output of 7.2 billion kWh in 2024.

Meanwhile, Le Nguyen Quoc Vinh, Director of Nghi Son Oil Refinery Plant, shared that during Tet holiday, Nghi Son Oil Refinery Plant had nearly 200 staff members working day and night at the construction site, maintaining and ensuring continuous, stable, and safe plant operation.

“We have adjusted an increased capacity of 120% compared to the design to support ensuring the supply of petroleum products for the domestic market. With the current capacity, the plant is supplying over 30,000 m3 of gasoline and various types of oil products to the market daily,” Vinh said.

Nghi Son Oil Refinery Plant operates at 120% of the designed capacity during the Tet holiday.

It is worth mentioning that, to ensure the safe and stable operation of the plant during the Tet holiday, the plant has proactively reviewed and addressed technical issues, ensuring that all machinery and equipment are in the best and most reliable condition; at the same time, it has arranged plans and assigned personnel from the plant’s leadership and department leaders, along with the operation staff to work continuously, ensuring control and handling of possible situations that may arise during operation.

Together with manufacturing companies, many companies participating in key projects also organize construction work during Tet to ensure the progress of the contracts.

Tran Van Thang, Deputy Director of Phuong Hanh Co., Ltd. (Ngoc Lac District, Thanh Hoa Province) – the contractor in charge of the construction package No. 11 of the 500 kV Nam Dinh I – Thanh Hoa Thermal Power Plant Transmission Line Project, said: “The company is responsible for constructing the foundation positions from 137 to 151 and is simultaneously implementing construction works. Determining the urgency of the project, we allocate laborers and construction engineers working throughout the festival and Tet. The unit also arranges suitable shifts to allow workers living nearby to take advantage of returning home to celebrate Tet with their families.”
