On February 14, information from the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue Province stated that during the Lunar New Year festival of the Year of the Horse 2024, the number of tourists visiting and experiencing Hue increased compared to the same period last year.

Accordingly, the number of tourists visiting, staying, and staying in Hue during the Lunar New Year festival of the Year of the Horse 2024 from February 7-15, 2024 (from the 28th day of the last lunar month to the 6th day of the first lunar month) reached about 100,000 visitors (an increase of about 17.64% compared to 2023).
The total number of tourists staying reached about 55,000, with over 31,000 international tourists and an estimated 24,000 domestic tourists; the room occupancy rate reached 62.4%, and the revenue from accommodation reached about VND 115 billion.

The number of visitors to the heritage system managed by the Center for Preservation of Hue Monuments in the first days of the Year of the Horse reached about 68,000 (including about 12,000 international visitors).

Among them, many forms of entertainment services cater to the needs of exploring and discovering traditional culture; New Year activities in the land of Hue have met the needs of tourists and the local community.
According to a report from the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Lao Cai Province on the tourism activities during the Lunar New Year festival of the Year of the Horse 2024 (from February 8-14), the number of tourists visiting Lao Cai is estimated at 265,200. Of which, domestic tourists are estimated at 256,800, and international tourists are around 8,400. The total revenue from tourists reached VND 900 billion, an increase of 4% compared to the same period in 2023.
Some localities with many tourists during the Lunar New Year include Sa Pa town with about 112,300 visitors, with a total revenue of about VND 387.7 billion; Lao Cai City with about 123,600 visitors; Bac Ha district with about 25,000 visitors; Bao Yen district with about 31,500 visitors; Bat Xat district with about 12,500 visitors.
According to Mr. Lai Vu Hiep – Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Lao Cai Province, many localities have prepared conditions to organize distinctive cultural and tourist activities to serve the people’s New Year and attract visitors for sightseeing and experiencing before the Lunar New Year.
Explaining the large number of tourists coming to the province at the beginning of the year, Mr. Lai Vu Hiep, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Lao Cai Province, shared that the long Tet holiday is an opportunity for people and tourists to enjoy the spring, travel with their families. With the potential and advantages of Lao Cai, a large number of tourists come to enjoy the spring, visit, and stay.
In addition, the forecasts of a significant increase in the number of tourists during the holiday season, especially during the Lunar New Year, have prompted localities to actively implement practical activities and solutions. As a result, the province attracts a large number of tourists for sightseeing and tourism.
In Can Tho City, on the afternoon of February 14, in an exchange with a reporter from Tien Phong, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan – Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Can Tho City, said that from the 29th to the 5th day of the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse 2024, the total number of visitors to Can Tho City is estimated at about 398,000.
Notably, the number of tourists staying is estimated at about 104,000; of which, international tourists are estimated at about 4,100, an increase of 41% compared to the same period in 2023; the total tourism revenue is estimated at VND 415 billion, an increase of 22% compared to the same period in 2023.
