Regularly posting articles selling Valentine’s Day gift boxes priced from VND 300,000 to 999,000, account Ho Hanh said that she has had orders placed before Tet, and many of them have been delivered to customers.

“Gift boxes with low values from VND 300,000 to 500,000 will include fresh flowers and chocolates accompanied by a lipstick. More expensive gift boxes will have additional perfume bottles with different values. With a reasonable cost, my products have attracted a lot of customers. I started selling them half a month before Tet,” said account owner Ho Hanh.

Meanwhile, many people are selling chocolates ranging from a few thousand dong to premium imported ones costing millions of dong.

“The cheap chocolates are mostly homemade. Although they are inexpensive, they have attractive flavors and appearances, so many people with limited economic conditions choose them. They are the most sold type. The expensive ones are more selective, so we usually take them from wholesale suppliers when customers order,” said Ms. Vu Thi Quynh (Dong Da, Hanoi).

While looking for a suitable gift to give his girlfriend on February 14th, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai (Dong Da, Hanoi) said: “Compared to previous years, I find that the value of the gifts being sold this year is not too high. However, there are no new unique products, they are still the same as every year. I want to buy a special gift to make it different from other years, but I haven’t found one yet.”

“Valentine’s Day falls on the 5th day of the Lunar New Year, so many people are still in their hometowns and have not returned to the cities. The number of customers visiting physical stores has significantly decreased, while online platforms are more lively,” said the owner of a gift shop on Cau Giay street.
