Handling over 1,000 alcohol concentration offenses in Thanh Hoa

During the Lunar New Year holiday, the traffic police force of Thanh Hoa province have recorded 2,347 cases in violation of traffic regulations, with fines totaling over 7.1 billion VND, suspension of driver’s licenses, and inspection of 542 cases; and impounding of 1,181 vehicles.

In particular, during the 7-day Lunar New Year holiday from the 29th to the 5th of Lunar New Year, the traffic police force of Thanh Hoa province also issued fines of nearly 4.3 billion VND for drunk driving in 1,101 cases. The fire prevention and fighting work was well-prepared with timely fire extinguishing and rescue operations in 8 incidents, and prevention of 1 suicide attempt.

The security situation in Thanh Hoa province remained stable with no unexpected incidents occurring. The crime rate decreased by 29.41%, and there were no major crimes or serious accidents reported in the province.

Specifically, there were 12 criminal cases in Thanh Hoa province during this period, a decrease of 29.41%. The police force has investigated and clarified 11 out of 12 cases, achieving a clearance rate of 91%.
