Specifically, there are 45 vehicles (36 Vietnamese vehicles leaving the country; 9 Chinese vehicles entering the country without cargo) carrying 264 exported goods. At the open gate Km 3+4 Hai Yen, functional forces take a break for Tet holiday, not working.
For goods, functional forces take a break for 2 days (the 1st and 2nd day of the Lunar New Year) and resume customs clearance procedures from the 3rd day of Tet holiday at Bac Luan II border gate.
Therefore, from January 1st to February 14th, the total weight of imported and exported goods reached 139,445 tons, an increase of 4.1% compared to the same period in 2023. In which, Bac Luan II border gate has 5,895 vehicles (an increase of 104% compared to the same period in 2023, averaging 155 vehicles per day) carrying 93,390 tons of imported and exported goods (an increase of 104% compared to the same period in 2023, averaging 2,458 tons of goods per day).
Meanwhile, at the open gate Km 3+4 Hai Yen, there are 4,178 vehicles carrying 42,632 tons of goods (averaging 107 vehicles per day, 1,093 tons per day). The main exported goods are fruits, frozen seafood, dry seeds, and other goods. The imported goods are miscellaneous and fabric items.
In terms of border crossing activities, the functional forces of both Vietnam and China are working “over Tet” to serve the people and tourists. In the first 5 days of the Lunar New Year, the total number of people entering and leaving at the international border gate in Mong Cai (including both Bac Luan I and Bac Luan II border gates) reached 52,619; in which, there are 28,956 arrivals and 23,663 departures.
From January 1st to February 14th, the accumulated total number of people entering and leaving through the international border gate in Mong Cai is 800,955; in which, the number of arrivals is 398,564 and the number of departures is 402,391.
