According to a sales consultant from Haval, Jolion is expected to arrive in Vietnam in August this year with 2 hybrid models and 1 petrol model. The petrol model will be locally assembled but launched later. Currently, Jolion has been available for pre-order at Haval dealers with an estimated price around 700 million VND.

Haval Jolion is expected to arrive in Vietnam in August this year.

In Thailand (the export market of Haval H6 to Vietnam), Haval Jolion also has 2 hybrid models, including Sport and Ultra, with prices ranging from 799,000 – 999,000 baht, equivalent to 550 – 685 million VND. The listed price in Vietnam will of course be slightly higher.

Haval Jolion has dimensions of 4,472 x 1,841 x 1,626 mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. These figures fall between the B+ and C segment of SUV/CUV group. Specifically, Jolion’s wheelbase is similar to Mazda CX-5 and Honda CR-V, while the overall length is similar to Toyota Corolla Cross. Ground clearance is 168 mm.

Except for the overall rounded design and “falling star” grille, Jolion’s design is quite different from its “elder brother” H6. The front headlights are designed in a stylized T shape. The main LED headlights have 3 lenses. The rear lights are also in a T shape, with a style similar to some recent Kia cars. The size of the wheels is 18 inches.

The interior of Jolion has more similarities with H6. The cabin design is minimalistic with few details and physical buttons. The behind-the-steering-wheel instrument panel is a 7-inch digital screen. The 12.3-inch center screen is connected to Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. The dual-zone independent air conditioning has rear vents. The sound system consists of 6 speakers. The gear lever is in the form of a rotating knob. The electric parking brake has automatic hold function. The panoramic sunroof or HUD is featured on the premium version.

Jolion’s hybrid engine is a turbocharged 1.5L engine combined with an electric motor, producing 190 horsepower and 375 Nm of torque. It comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive. This version has 4 driving modes: Eco, Normal, Sport, and Snow.

Meanwhile, the pure petrol engine is a turbocharged 1.5L engine, producing 147 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque. It uses the same transmission and drivetrain as the hybrid version.

The Haval Jolion sold in Thailand has many advanced ADAS safety features, such as lane keeping assist, emergency braking, blind-spot warning, etc. It also has a 360-degree camera, tire pressure sensors, front and rear collision sensors, and 6 airbags.
