In late February 2024, a dealer in the Ho Chi Minh City area offered a direct discount of 50 million VND for the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV electric car model. However, this discount program only applies to the upgraded version, which currently has a listed price range of 255 – 282 million VND. After applying the discount at the dealership, the price of this variant is reduced to only 205 – 232 million VND.
Meanwhile, a dealer in Ca Mau offered a different discount of up to 45 million VND, along with a 100% exemption from registration tax and installment support….

Dealers said that this discount program was launched to push inventory and attract buyers. Previously, the discount for the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV ranged from 15 to 30 million VND, depending on the specific dealership and time.
It is known that the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV debuted in the Vietnamese market in June 2023 with 2 main versions, including the standard (LV1) and upgraded (LV2) versions, each with 2 battery capacity options.
The car has dimensions of 2,920 mm in length, 1,493 mm in width, 1,621 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 1,940 mm. The ground clearance of the car is 125 mm.
The Wuling Hongguang Mini EV is decorated with LED grille lights, projector headlights, daytime running lights, and rear lights, all with LED technology. Besides aesthetics, LED technology promises better lighting and energy efficiency.
As for the interior, the car has a 4-seater configuration, equipped with basic amenities such as air conditioning, a 7-inch LCD screen, power windows, a driver’s vanity mirror, etc.
The car is powered by an electric motor with a maximum power of 27 horsepower and a maximum torque of 85 Nm. The car has a maximum speed of 100 km/h. The LFP battery on the car has two options, a 9.6 kWh for a range of 120 km, and a larger 13.9 kWh for a range of 170 km. The car comes with a 1.5 kW charger. With household electricity at 220 V, it takes about 6.5 hours to fully charge the 9.6 kWh battery and 9 hours for the 13.9 kWh battery.
In addition, the car is equipped with additional safety features for users such as standard airbags for the driver, ABS with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), low-speed pedestrian warning system, tire pressure monitoring, reverse camera, and rear parking sensors.
