Hanoi Chairman sets deadline for allocating service land to over 19,000 households

The chairman of Hanoi has mandated that districts, towns, and communes, which still have ongoing land allocation for detailed planning, must submit their reports to allocate land to households by September 30, 2024.

The Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee, Tran Sy Thanh, has recently issued a document on reviewing and enhancing the effectiveness and quality of citizen reception, handling complaints, denunciations and accusations within the city.

Accordingly, the Hanoi People’s Committee has assigned the Chairman of People’s Committees of districts, towns and townships and the heads of city departments, boards and sectors to oversee the thorough inspection and review of the Citizen Reception Board and the Citizen Reception Department to ensure adequate arrangement of competent officers and officials with professional skills and ethical qualities in accordance with regulations, to review the functions, tasks, assignments and coordination among units in the work of citizen reception and complaint resolution and denunciation and accusation settlement.

The service land at An Thuong commune, Hoai Duc district is currently facing many problems.

The Hanoi People’s Committee assigns the Office of the Hanoi People’s Committee to lead in conjunction with the Hanoi Inspectorate and relevant units to study and propose the deployment of a software system for managing letters, complaints, denunciations and suggestions throughout the city, and report to the Hanoi People’s Committee in the first quarter of 2024.

The Department of Construction is assigned to lead in conjunction with the Department of Justice and relevant units to review legal documents relating to the management and operation of condominiums, synthesize the current problems and difficulties for the Hanoi People’s Committee to issue guiding documents on handling and resolving existing and arising issues, and report to the Hanoi People’s Committee before April 30, 2024.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment is assigned to lead in conjunction with the People’s Committees of districts, towns and townships to review and synthesize projects on land allocation for rural residents in accordance with the Land Law 1993 and the Land Law 2003, but which still have problems and difficulties, to clarify the situation, difficulties and problems of each project, and propose solutions for completion, and report to the Hanoi People’s Committee before June 30, 2024.

The People’s Committees of districts, towns and townships (where service land allocation work is still ongoing) shall develop detailed plans to allocate service land to households, report to the Standing Committee of the district party committee, the district people’s committee, the town party committee and the town people’s committee for leadership and guidance in organizing the implementation and ensuring basic completion of this work before September 30, 2024.
