In particular, one of Dragon Capital’s member funds, Wareham Group Limited, sold 1 million shares of GEX in the session on February 16. As a result, their ownership ratio decreased to 1.11%, and the ownership ratio of the entire Dragon Capital group also decreased to 4.97%, officially leaving the major shareholder position.

Based on the closing price of GEX shares on February 16, which was VND 22,350 per share, it is estimated that the Dragon Capital group earned VND 22.35 billion.

Previously, on February 2, two other member funds, Amersham Industries Limited and Vietnam Enterprise Investments Limited, also sold 1 million shares to reduce the ownership of the entire Dragon Capital group from 6.16% to 5.93%. In recent years, this group has frequently made “wave” moves with GEX shares, leading to sitting in and then leaving the major shareholder position, which is not uncommon for investors.

In the stock market, GEX shares have decreased by 5% since the beginning of 2024, reaching VND 22,300 per share after the session on February 22, 2024, with an average liquidity of nearly 14 million shares per day.
