Prices range from 300-362 million VND, cheaper than KIA Morning
Changan X5 Plus 2024, a compact SUV model, has just been launched by Changan, a Chinese automaker, targeting young customers.
Despite being in the same segment with mid-size SUVs, the price of Changan X5 Plus 2024 is incredibly competitive. This model is priced from 91,900 to 110,900 Chinese yuan, equivalent to about 300-362 million VND, which is cheaper than Kia Morning despite being a compact SUV.

A direct competitor to Mazda CX-5, on par with Honda CR-V in terms of luxury
Changan X5 Plus 2024 is positioned in the compact SUV segment, but its size and performance allow it to compete with Japanese rivals such as Honda CR-V and Mazda CX-5.

The car was first announced at the Chengdu Auto Show in July 2020 and then launched in China in November 2020.
However, in this new version, Changan Auchan X5 Plus has been significantly upgraded in terms of design, equipment, and features.
The overall dimensions of the car are 4540 x 1860 x 1610 mm, with a wheelbase of 2715 mm.

In the interior, Changan Auchan X5 Plus’s interior is described in the style of “dynamic fashion” and “aspire black”. The car features a metal-finished central control screen, three large screens including a control panel, a central control screen, and a 4.2-inch driver assistance screen. The entertainment system uses OnStyle 5.0 integrated with karaoke and voice recognition.

Safety and convenience features include face recognition, automatic parking, and wireless charging. The car is equipped with the latest Blue Core 1.5T engine from Changan, producing 188 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, combined with a 7-speed transmission.
Advantages and disadvantages of Changan X5 Plus 2024
The advantages of Changan X5 Plus 2024 include a muscular and sporty appearance, sharp headlights, a matrix-style grille, and a modern interior with three screens including a touch screen entertainment display and a digital instrument cluster. The car is also equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged engine with 188 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
However, the potential disadvantage could be that the Changan brand is still relatively new and not widely recognized in the international market compared to well-established and reputable competitors such as Honda or Mazda, along with concerns about the quality and after-sales service that may not be on par yet.
Nevertheless, with a price tag of just over 300 million VND, the Chinese Changan Auchan X5 Plus is considered accessible to consumers in this country.
