Verification of assets and income of 28 leaders under the Ministry of Industry and Trade

In 2024, the assets and income of 28 leaders and 125 officials and employees from 28 departments under the Ministry of Industry and Trade will be verified.

On February 23, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held a random draw to determine the officials whose assets and income will be verified in 2024.

Speaking at the drawing ceremony, Mr. Le Viet Long, Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Industry and Trade stated that the verification of assets and income is carried out according to the procedures and regulations stipulated in the Law on Corruption Prevention and Control and the regulations on control of assets and income of officials and authorized individuals in agencies, organizations, and units.

In 2024, there will be 28 units under the Ministry that will undergo verification of assets and income, including: the Import-Export Department, the Trade Defense Department, the Trade Promotion Department; the Institute of Mining Science and Technology, the Research Institute of Leather and Footwear, the Research Institute of Strategy and Policy of Industry and Trade;

Electricity University, Viet Duc Industrial College, Hung Yen Industrial College, Phu Tho Industrial and Commercial College, Trade and Tourism College, Industrial and Commercial Technical College, Phu Tho Food Industry College;

The Market Management Department of the provinces: Hanoi, Bac Kan, Lai Chau, Hau Giang, Vinh Phuc, Binh Phuoc, Tra Vinh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Binh Duong, Dien Bien, Yen Bai, Tien Giang, Lao Cai, An Giang…

The total number of individuals obligated to declare their assets and income annually in these 28 units is 1,419.

The results and minutes of the random drawing by the working team were announced immediately after the drawing was completed. Accordingly, there are 28 leaders and 125 other individuals who are officials but do not hold leadership positions in the 28 units that will have their assets and income verified in 2024.
