The official Ford Vietnam Fanpage has posted 2 articles, including confirmation that the Everest Platinum version will soon be launched along with the Ranger Stormtrak. Platinum will be the highest-end version of the Everest after being sold, ranked above the Titanium version. There is information from the sales consultants that this Platinum version will replace the current Wildtrak position.

Also according to the dealers, the expected price for Everest Platinum is about 1.7 billion VND. The dealer has received deposits and announced that the car will be launched in March or April 2024. This version continues to be imported from Thailand.

Everest Platinum has arrived in Australia when the new generation Everest is launched and now it is approaching the Southeast Asian market, including Vietnam. Although the same name Platinum, the version sold in Vietnam will have differences in the engine compared to the version sold in Australia. The V6 3.0L engine will not be used, instead it will be the I4 2.0L engine similar to the current Titanium version. This 2.0L engine with a capacity of 207 horsepower, torque of 500 Nm will be combined with a 10-speed gearbox and 4×4 drive.

Compared to the Titanium version, the Platinum version can be easily distinguished by the 21-inch wheels, which are 1 inch larger, and the large Platinum logo attached to the front of the car. The grille is distinguished with shiny chrome details, looking more luxurious. Other exterior equipment is almost the same as the Titanium version with matrix LED headlights, LED fog lights, and shiny chrome trim…

The Platinum interior brings more luxurious amenities such as Bang & Olufsen 12-speaker sound, premium leather materials, integrated ventilated seats, heated seats for both the front and rear rows. Other equipment remains the same as the Titanium version, including a 12.4-inch screen behind the steering wheel, a 12-inch vertical screen connected to SYNC4, electric shifter, dual-zone automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof…

In terms of technology, the Everest Platinum version is likely to have no difference from the Titanium version. Modern technology features on the Everest include emergency brake assist, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, intelligent headlights, blind-spot warning, 360-degree camera, and automatic parking assist.

The addition of the Platinum version helps the “sales king” and “technology king” Everest segment to bring more choices to Vietnamese customers. This model currently has Ambiente, Sport, Titanium, and Wildtrak versions. However, the selling price, if it is true to the level of 1.7 billion VND as reported by the dealers, may be a barrier for the Platinum version because it does not differ much from the Explorer sibling after the price reduction (1.999 billion VND).
