According to the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA), the total market sales volume in January 2024 reached 19,243 units, including 14,745 passenger cars, 4,390 commercial vehicles, and 108 specialized vehicles, down 50% compared to December 2023. The sales volume of domestically assembled cars reached 9,783 units, down 59% compared to December 2023, and the volume of imported cars was 9,460 units, down 36% compared to December 2023.
VAMA also said that the sales volume in January 2024 of both domestically assembled cars and imported cars increased by 11% compared to the same period last year.
