On February 24, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) Dang Hoang An; Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) Nguyen Tuan Tung and the working delegation inspected the progress of the construction of the 500kV power line project phase 3, section Nam Dinh I – Pho Noi, passing through Hai Duong province.
The Nam Dinh I – Pho Noi 500kV power line project is newly invested and built with 2 circuits, about 127 km long. The transmission line passes through 4 provinces: Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hai Duong and Hung Yen with 334 tower locations. Of which, the transmission line passes through Hai Duong province with a length of about 30.79 km, including 74 tower locations, through Ninh Giang, Gia Loc, Thanh Mien and Binh Giang districts.
As of the morning of February 24, 2024, the project has completed the handover of the ground of 333/334 tower locations and 90/136 anchorages. Of which, Hai Duong province has completed the handover of 74/74 tower locations and is implementing the construction of 58/74 tower locations.
In the process of construction, the contractor is slow in implementing the agreed upon compensation, construction, as well as arranging personnel for implementation.
Directly inspecting at position 290 (belonging to Thuc Khang commune, Binh Giang district), position 251 (belonging to Thanh Mien town, Thanh Mien district), EVN Chairman Dang Hoang An said: “Currently, the progress of construction of tower locations in Hai Duong province does not meet the project management goals”.
Particularly in Hai Duong province, there are up to 19 tower locations with difficulties in construction. Therefore, EVN’s leadership requested contractors to mobilize forces to expedite the construction progress, prioritizing resources to complete all tower locations in March 2024.
EVNNPT, the Provincial Branch Management Board of Northern power projects (NPMB) needs to direct the contractors to concentrate resources, build and implement a construction plan with 3 shifts, 4 teams, 24/7 to expedite the construction progress of all handed over tower locations.
EVN’s leadership also requested EVNNPT, NPMB to closely coordinate with the local authorities to support propaganda, mobilize local residents in the work of borrowing roads, borrowing land to gain the agreement of local households and create conditions for the contractors of the investor to carry out the construction deployment. Continue to closely follow the local authorities to complete the entire corridor before March 15.
At the construction site inspection session, representatives of the contractor units, the supervision consulting units all affirmed that this is a key and urgent project, and organized construction during Tet holiday to ensure progress according to the directions of the Prime Minister.
Representatives of the contractors also said that with the handover of the ground as now, the units have committed to increase personnel, mobilize local forces according to the “4 at the scene” principle to work day and night, meeting the set goals.
