Gold Price Update this Morning 26/2: SJC Gold Increases by 500,000 VND, reaching 79 million VND/tael

The price difference with the world gold remains high, reaching around 18 million dong per tael (domestic gold is more expensive).

Early this morning, domestic gold prices surged. Compared to the previous session, the average price of gold increased by 500,000 dong per tael. Compared to the early morning session at 6:00 am on February 26, at 9:00 am, the gold price at businesses increased by an average of 300,000 dong per tael.

Specifically, at 10:00 am, at the VBĐQ Saigon (SJC) gold trading system in Ho Chi Minh City, SJC gold was listed at 76.8 – 79 million dong per tael (buying and selling prices), an increase of 200,000 dong per tael compared to the early morning, at 6:00 am. Compared to the previous session, the gold price increased by 500,000 dong per tael for both buying and selling prices. In Hanoi and Da Nang, SJC gold prices were listed at around 76.9 – 79.02 million dong per tael, an increase of 500,000 dong per tael compared to the previous session.

SJC gold prices at Doji Group in the Hanoi market were trading around 76.75 – 78.95 million dong per tael, an increase of 300,000 dong per tael for both buying and selling prices compared to the opening time of the session. Compared to the previous session, the gold price increased by 500,000 dong per tael.

SJC gold prices at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company are currently listed at 76.8-78.6 million dong per tael, an increase of 150,000 dong per tael for selling price and 50,000 dong per tael for buying price. Compared to the previous session, the gold price of this system increased by 350,000 dong per tael for both buying and selling prices.

In the global market, gold prices this morning traded at $2,035 per ounce, an increase of $7 per ounce compared to the previous session. Converted at the current exchange rate, the world gold price is about 61 million dong per tael, excluding taxes and fees. Thus, domestic gold is still much higher than the world gold, up to 18 million dong per tael.
