The People’s Committee of Nguyen Du Ward, Hai Ba Trung District, recently organized a direct consultation with the residents on the 1/500 design project. The majority of participants agreed that it is necessary to create a synchronized redevelopment plan for the Thien Quang Lake area, including the construction of five squares named Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, and one central square.

During the consultation, the People’s Committee of Nguyen Du Ward distributed 37 questionnaires. Based on the voting results, 37 out of 37 agreed to implement the “Urban Design Project (separate) in the surrounding area of Thien Quang Lake, at 1/500 scale.”

Mr. Vu Hy Chuong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nguyen Du Ward, said that this project brings many attractions to the Thien Quang Lake area, creating an interesting place for local residents and tourists to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Mr. Chuong proposed that the four characteristic squares represent the four seasons and should be planted with specific trees to reflect each season. In addition, he also suggested the installation of public drinking water fountains to serve the large number of visitors expected to come in the future.
