The People’s Committee of Da Lat City has recently reported on the review, collection of information, and proposed re-auction starting prices for leasing land and property for 10 years at Thuy Ta Restaurant (Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province).

The land area of Thuy Ta Restaurant is expected to be re-auctioned in 2024.
Accordingly, the starting price for leasing land and assets on the land is 3.6 billion VND per year, with a total of 36.4 billion VND for 10 years for the purpose of operating a restaurant. The winning bidder must maintain the current status quo and cannot add any construction. The auction is expected to take place in 2024.
Previously, Lam Dong Province had set a starting price of over 3.04 billion VND per year for leasing the land and premises of Thuy Ta Restaurant, including a rental price of 378 million VND per year and a land rental price of 2.662 billion VND per year, with a lease term of 10 years.
At the auction on October 30, 2023, Mr. Doan Hai Ha (Hanoi) surpassed many businesses and large corporations to win the auction for leasing the land and premises of Thuy Ta Restaurant after 63 bidding rounds, with an additional amount of more than 12.1 billion VND per year.
There was a large enterprise that bid up to 15 billion VND per year, but later withdrew because Mr. Doan Hai Ha continued to push the price up to 15.15 billion VND per year and won the auction.
However, Mr. Ha later decided not to invest in Thuy Ta anymore and forfeited the deposit because he was not allowed to change the name of the location to “Thuy Ta”. As a result, the deposit of over 608 million VND paid for the auction belonged to the party with the auctioned assets, which is the People’s Committee of Da Lat City.
Up until now, the relevant authorities of Lam Dong Province are planning to re-auction the lease of this “golden land” location.
