On March 1, the People’s Committee of Chuong My district coordinated with Phu My Group to commence the construction of the Dong Phu Yen Industrial Cluster project. Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, Tran Sy Thanh, and the working delegation attended the event.
According to the Hanoi People’s Committee, the industrial cluster is being built to serve the relocation, expansion of production, and business activities of small and medium-sized enterprises, cooperatives, family production facilities, and individuals in the three communes and surrounding areas, in order to address environmental pollution.
The Dong Phu Yen Industrial Cluster project is being implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the unit has also faced many difficulties in the project implementation process. However, all levels of the city’s authorities have cooperated to tackle these difficulties, ensuring the project’s progress.
Up to now, the project has cleared 40.25 ha out of 41.2 ha of land (achieving 96.75%), the city’s People’s Committee has allocated 39.76 ha out of 41.2 ha (achieving 96.93%), and construction permits have been obtained.
The project enterprise is committed to completing the project on schedule ( expected by October 2024). At the same time, all construction items will be built according to the approved plans and designs. In particular, special attention will be paid to items related to sewage and waste collection and treatment, fire prevention and explosion prevention, and environmental landscapes.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, Nguyen Manh Quyen, said that when the Dong Phu Yen Industrial Cluster is operational, it will contribute to meeting the land demand for production facilities in the district. At the same time, it will bring production facilities in craft villages and residential areas into the concentrated production area. From there, it will contribute to solving the problem of environmental pollution and promoting the sustainable development potential of industry, artisanal industry, and local craft villages.
After the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, Tran Sy Thanh, and the working delegation visited CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company, as well as the residential and kindergarten area of Phu Nghia Industrial Zone.
