Hóc Môn, Thủ Đức, and Củ Chi multi-specialty hospitals to open by late 2024, early 2025

That is the information shared by Le Van Dung, Deputy Director of the Project Management Department for Civil and Industrial Construction, during the regular press conference on the socio-economic situation in Ho Chi Minh City on February 29th.

Three hospitals, including Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital, Cu Chi Regional General Hospital, and Thu Duc Regional General Hospital, with a total capital of over 5,600 billion VND, have been approved by the Prime Minister to invest in construction projects since 2021.

According to Mr. Le Long Dũng, Thu Duc Regional General Hospital is currently completing the final phase and technical systems. Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital is completing the final phase and installing technical systems in Blocks B and C of the main building.

It is expected that in the third quarter of 2024, both hospitals’ outpatient departments will be put into operation. The entire hospitals will officially start operating in the fourth quarter of 2024.

As for Cu Chi Regional General Hospital, the construction project is currently completing the final phase and carrying out MEP systems, technical infrastructure, transportation, and landscaping. The outpatient department is expected to be put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2024, and the entire hospital will be operational in the first quarter of 2025.

Regarding the equipment procurement project at the aforementioned three hospitals, Mr. Dũng stated that the project is currently in the process of standardizing the configuration and features of the equipment, determining the evaluation units’ equipment pricing to serve the completion of the investment project dossier.

In the second quarter of 2024, the unit will submit the investment project to the functional agencies for evaluation and approval; approve the plan to select contractors; organize bidding to select contractors to supply and install the equipment.

Investing 4,300 billion VND in equipment for the three gateway hospitals

Previously, in September 2023, the People’s Council of Ho Chi Minh City approved a proposal for the investment policy of the equipment procurement project for the three gateway hospitals with a total capital of over 4,300 billion VND.

Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, Phan Van Mai, head of the Steering Committee for key projects and works in Ho Chi Minh City, has identified the equipment procurement project for the three gateway hospitals as one of the 10 key projects to be monitored and continuously updated.
