On March 1, Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh, and Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, along with leaders of Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan provinces, attended a groundbreaking ceremony for a transportation project from National Road 27C to Provincial Road DT.656, which passes through the mountainous districts of Khanh Vinh and Khanh Son in Khanh Hoa province.
The project has a total investment of over 1,930 billion VND, including 1,000 billion VND from the central budget and 930 billion VND from the local budget. The project is divided into two components, with implementation period from 2023 to 2027 and the Khanh Hoa Provincial Project Management Board for Construction and Investment of Transportation Works as the investor.
According to the design, the road is more than 56 km long, with a maximum speed of 60 km/h, and is classified as a grade 3 mountainous road. The starting point of the project is at the intersection of National Road 27C in Khanh Vinh district with Provincial Road DT.656, and the road follows a westward direction and ends at the border adjacent to Ninh Thuan, connecting Khanh Hoa. This is an important transportation route, linking the two mountainous districts of Khanh Vinh and Khanh Son in Khanh Hoa province, in accordance with the orientation of the province’s transportation infrastructure development plan for the period 2021-2030 and vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister.
Nguyen Tan Tuan, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, said that this is an important national project that connects the two mountainous districts of Khanh Vinh and Khanh Son. The road is expected to promote local economic development, enhance connectivity of transportation between Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, and Ninh Thuan provinces. In addition, when completed, the project will provide seamless road connection, strengthen national defense and security, disaster prevention and rescue, forest protection, patrol and control, and timber exploitation and afforestation in compliance with regulations, ensuring synchronized progress with project implementation.
Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan also requested that the investor, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Project Management Board for Construction and Investment of Transportation Works, closely and resolutely manage the quality, progress, and investment capital of the project throughout the implementation process. Additionally, they should actively coordinate with the People’s Committees of Khanh Vinh and Khanh Son districts, as well as forest management agencies in the area, to carry out land clearance and conversion, timber exploitation, and afforestation in compliance with regulations and ensure synchronized progress with the project’s construction.
